HOW TO ENTER ISIC ?
  1. Participants must submit the abstract via the following Google Form:
    https://forms.gle/dFAZzrFWYGVYSsB1A. (Deadline: 19 June 2026).
  2. After the abstract is reviewed and accepted, participants will receive a Letter of Acceptance from the organizer (within 1-3 working days). 
  3. Participants must pay the fees according to their category and register via this link: https://forms.gle/2Pg3DnNC8QjURP2C9. (Deadline: 26 June 2026). Please refer to the fee details on the website and in the Google Form. The competition fee is based on the FIRST INNOVATOR. For example, if the group is led by a lecturer/teacher, the fee follows the Academic/Professional rate. The group members may include lecturers/teachers or students. However, if the group leader is a student, then the fee follows the student rate.
  4. Participants must prepare a 4 – 6 minutes video and upload it on YouTube (PUBLIC). The YouTube link, proof of payment, and report (PRODUCT)/poster (IDEA) must be submitted in the registration Google Form. Submission of the extended abstract is OPTIONAL. The Google Form can be accessed here: https://forms.gle/2Pg3DnNC8QjURP2C9. (Deadline: 26 June 2026).
  5. Extended abstracts submitted before the deadline will be eligible for the Best Extended Abstract Award. Submissions after the deadline may still be published in our the Innovation Journal (June 2026 edition), subject to the reviewer’s review evaluation. The deadline for this publication submission is before or on 31 July 2026.
  6. Participants who choose to join the Live Q&A session on Zoom will attend it on 9 July 2026, with the exact schedule to be shared by email and Whatsapp group. This session is optional and only for participants who need it for promotion or other requirements. No marks are given for this session. ABOUT i-SIC

i-SIC is the second innovation competition organized by the Academic International Dialogue (AID Academy) after organizing various national and international conferences since 2016 in Malaysia.

This program aims to bring together professionals, academics, researchers, and students to showcase their innovations and research through poster presentations and product 
demonstrations.

Besides that, i-SIC also encourages innovations related to teaching and learning practices at universities and schools.
GENERAL INFORMATION

The competition is open to all (professionals, academics, researchers, and students). Participation can be individual or in a group.

A combination of academics/lecturers, staff, and students is allowed.

*It is mandatory to have a supervising teacher for entries under the primary and secondary school student categories, where the student is listed as the team leader.


Participants are encouraged to prepare additional materials such as brochures, images, certificates or any other related materials besides the innovative products during the competition day.

OBJECTIVES

The main aim of i-SIC is to provide a platform for all innovators at various levels (professionals, academics, researchers, and students) to share their findings and be evaluated at a higher level. i-SIC also hopes to become an avenue for all educators at universities and schools to share their teaching and learning innovative teaching and learning ideas and practices, so they may improve teaching styles and become more productive and efficient in teaching.

2 MAJOR COMPETITION CATEGORIES

ALL PRESENTATIONS WILL BE 100% VIRTUAL
1) Innovation Project (an innovation project with a product)
2) Poster Presentation (an innovation idea without product)
The innovation project or idea may be presented in a video of 4-6 minutes. The video MUST be uploaded on YouTube and participants must fill in the Google form HERE by providing the video link and proof of payment to i-SIC. The secretariat will re-upload the video to the AID/I-SIC YouTube channel. This is to assist the juries judging the entries submitted by participants.

All innovations related to social sciences and humanities theme.
Application of Life Sciences such as Biology and its many derivative disciplines to create or innovate methods and techniques that incorporate aspects of sustainability from social, economic and environmental perspectives.
This category includes innovation in teaching and learning, alternative assessment methods, the use of technology in teaching and learning, and methods of teaching and/or student supervision.

Plaques, Medals & Certificates
Winners of SPECIAL AWARDS (Double Gold, Grand Double Gold and Gold) winners for academic and professional category will receive a FREE medal/trophy/plaque for each participant. However, the postage cost must be borne by the participants.
 

Other winners (Silver, Bronze, and other special award winners, e.g., Best Extended Abstract Award, Fastest Extended Abstract Award, and Most-Liked Virtual Presentation on YouTube Award) WILL NOT RECEIVE A FREE PLAQUE but will receive a digital certificate. They MUST ORDER their plaques if they wish to have them posted.
  • 1 unit of WINNING (Gold) e-certificate (all group members' names will be printed on one certificate).
  • 1 unit of PRESENTER e-certificate (all group members' names will be printed on one certificate).

ADDITIONAL MEDALS, PLAQUES & CERTIFICATES

SEPARATING NAMES FROM THE E-CERTIFICATE
In both types of e-certificates (Winning e-cert and Presenter e-cert), all group members' names will be included in one certificate. However, for academic mileage reasons, participants may request to have their names separated on individual certificates.
  • A fee of RM10 will be charged for each request to separate names.
  • The Google Form link will be provided after the result announcement.

 
MEDAL, PLAQUE AND TROPHIES
 Different awards will receive different types of plaques:
  • Grand Double Gold Award – Trophy
  • Double Gold – Crystal Medal
  • Gold, Silver, Bronze, and all other special awards – Wooden Plaque
As mentioned earlier, only Grand Double Gold, Double Gold, and Gold winners are eligible for FREE plaques (postage to be borne by the winners). They may also order extra plaques if needed.
For other winners, plaques must be ordered separately as NO FREE PLAQUES will be given for Silver, Bronze, and other special awards (e.g., Best Extended Abstract Award, Fastest Extended Abstract Submission Award, and Most-Liked Virtual Presentation on YouTube Award).
Cost of Additional Plaques:
  • Grand Double Gold Award – Trophy (RM100)
  • Double Gold – Crystal Medal (RM35)
  • Gold, Silver, Bronze, and all other special awards – Wooden Plaque (RM25)​

Important Notes:
​
✅ Postage costs must be borne by the participants for both additional plaques and free plaques.
✅ Request for certificate replacement (due to participant registration errors) charges RM10 per e-certificate.
✅ Plaque orders must be made before the deadline announced on the award announcement day.
✅ Late orders will incur an additional RM10 charge per plaque.
